On Sunday, December 14, Jason Thompson was honored for his ten years of service at Harpeth Hills. As Church Administrator, Jason oversees almost every aspect of congregational life, from finances to facilities, small groups, adult education and numerous other ministries. Jason and Megan came to us as a young couple from Atlanta in October of 2004. Megan, an elementary schoolteacher, has been involved in Children’s Ministry and currently serves as a Coach. It has been a joy to see their girls grow up and then to see their family expand with Will Hudson three years ago. They have blessed our lives in so many ways. Jason is on a well-deserved sabbatical and returns to the office on January 26. It should come as no surprise that part of his sabbatical is visiting Restoration Church history sites. He is a church nerd at heart. On the occasion of Jason being recognized, Chris Smith said, “The word that comes to mind when I think of Jason is glue. He is the glue that holds us all together, both ministers and church. While some of us may want to go off on our own, it is always Jason who calls us back together.” Thank you Jason and Megan for your ministry with us.
