Matsapha, Swaziland
With the spiritual and financial support of the Harpeth Hills family, I had the privilege to assist in the set-up of the laboratory at Mathangeni Church of Christ Clinic in May and June of 2015.

Working with Drs. Bob and Annette Whittaker, long-time medical missionaries in Africa, new testing capabilities were implemented to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of clinic patients.

A full 25% of the adult population in Swaziland is HIV positive. The clinic currently performs HIV testing and expects to be approved to administer therapy in the near future.

The clinic is strategically located in an under-served area of Matsapha, making healthcare accessible to those who may need it the most. The picture below shows some of the clinic’s immediate neighbors.

In addition to providing medical care, the clinic is employing several of the local Christians in support positions such as translators, housekeepers, etc.
