Greetings from Honduras!
Our group has had an amazing 4 days!
After a long day of travel we arrived at the Humuya Inn and were greeted by Jason Pagel and our college group.
The next day we started early and broke up into several groups. One group finished the concrete patio of the house the college group worked on, while another started a replacing walls at the church in Mala Laja (it was a hike!). Our last project was sorting the clothes, assembling water filtration systems, and putting together food packages. We ended the day eating and shopping for groceries at the mall.
On Saturday, we were able to spend the day at Jovenes en Camino. Rhonda Jennings and a crew of students led the children with a craft and VBS while the rest of the Harpeth Hills group worked on some construction projects. We ended the day playing soccer with the church in El Pedregal.
On Sunday we got to worship with the sweet church in El Pedregal. They were so welcoming and had a time praising our Jesus together. After that, we loaded the buses with all of the children from the church and had a blast eating Burger King together. We ended the day with our students and some Honduran students leading a youth rally in both English and Spanish.
God is on the move here in Honduras and we are all having the privilege to see him work join him in his work. We all have a great hope for what God has in store for the next three days!
