Church,
We, your elders, want to remind you again of our strong commitment to seeking and saving the lost and to encourage you in that effort also.
Jesus instructs us in Matthew 28:19-20:
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Though this commission is always an ongoing effort at Harpeth Hills, we want to spend specific time this week in prayer for those who are seeking, those who have wandered away from our Lord, and those who have never named the name of Jesus.
We take time in almost every elders’ meeting to pray for you and with you over a variety of concerns. This past Wednesday, for example, we spent a sweet time hearing from and praying with three members about their needs and the needs of their families. As a reminder, you are certainly welcome to join us any evening if we can help you or feel free to contact any of us at any time.
Our focus in prayer this week will be on the lost, and we ask that you consider helping us. Our wives are going to gather with us at a special time as we pray for the lost. We would be honored to pray for and commit to pray for any name that you would like to submit to us. You may submit names to elders@archive.harpethhills.org.
Additionally, if we can ever assist you in having a conversation with someone about Jesus, we would be happy to do that also. And certainly, if you have not accepted Jesus or if you need to return to Him, we would be overjoyed to help you in your commitment.
Simply put, we deeply care about strengthening your relationship with God and bringing the lost into the Kingdom.
Thank you,
