This week’s children’s moment will be based on the story of the wise and foolish builders from Matthew 7.

We have included a few extra resources should you like to dig deeper into this story.

• Coloring Sheet: we like this one, but there are lots of options online. Older kids can even draw their own picture and have a younger sibling color it!

• Rock Painting: this fun idea uses simple rocks from your yard & the creative ideas are limitless! If you don’t have paint, use markers!

• Story Figures: use this template to print, cut out, & use to re-tell the story to different family members.

• Comparing Houses: dig a little deeper into the story and have these critical thinking questions handy as you compare a house built on the rock and one on the sand.

• Paper Houses: print out the template and have fun putting together houses. You might even work on an entire neighborhood.

• Building Blocks, Legos, Lincoln Logs: get out all your building resources, and have fun. Use your imagination and build all kinds of different houses.
