Children’s Moment for April 26, 2020

The Long Family shares a story from Genesis for our Children!

This week’s children’s moment will be based on the story of Noah’s ark, with the message that God Cares about our Safety. In advance of this week’s lesson, we have included a few extra resources should you like to learn even more. Let us know if your family is able to enjoy any of these activities.

Coloring Sheet: Use this one or have your child draw an ark and include as many animals as they can think of. Aren’t animals amazing?

Noah Mini-Book: Make your own little book about Noah and retell the story as often as you like.

Noah Memory Match Game: We all love a good memory game, especially one with animals!

Color Scavenger Hunt: This fun, printable hunt has you searching for all the colors of the rainbow.

• Build-a-DIY-Ark: Use whatever you would like to build yourself an ark! Have an Amazon box? Use it and add your animals. Want to build an ark fort? Grab your blankets and do so. Build one in your room and spend the day taking care of your animals. All those animals must have kept Noah and his family very busy!

• Rainbow Garland Craft: Get out your scissors and paper for craft time! Draw a big puffy cloud, and cut it out. Cut out as many different colors of hearts that you like (if you do not have colored paper, draw your hearts and use markers to color them in). Use yarn or string to attach and then hang down to make a colorful garland. Use the included picture as an idea or get creative and make your own rainbow garland!

• Animal Crackers: There might not be a better time to have some animal crackers for a snack! Which animal is your favorite?
