A Note from Our Shepherds: July 12, 2020

Dear Harpeth Hills Family,

As we continue to adjust to the changes in our lives over these past several months, we all react in different ways. Some enjoy newfound time alone, while others feel isolated and lonely. Some enjoy spending extended time with family, while others find that it puts a strain on those relationships. Some have continued to seamlessly work, while others feel anxious about a future paycheck or even wonder if they will still have a job. In light of these realities, consider these truths from the holy, timeless, inerrant word of God.

• We have been raised with Christ! -Colossians 3
• God has chosen us and adopted us into His family. -Ephesians 1
• Our lives are now hidden with Christ in God. -Colossians 3
• Our citizenship is in heaven, and Christ will transform our lowly bodies to be like his glorious body. -Philippians 3
• We have an inheritance from God that can never perish, spoil, or fade. -1 Peter 1
• God’s loyal love couldn’t have run out, His merciful love couldn’t have dried up. They are created new every morning. How great is your faithfulness! I’m sticking with God. He is all I have left. -Lamentations 3:22-24 [The Message]

Read these over and over. Wake up each morning in the upcoming week and proclaim these truths. Drive out the doubt and lies with these truths from His holy Word. Memorize these passages and hide them in your heart. Our great God loves you and so do we.
