Harpeth Hills Family,
As we continue to be physically apart from each other, we want to assure you that we are in constant prayer over Harpeth Hills, our community, and our world. Please let us know if there is any way we can assist your family during this time. We are adding some important information to our website to help us stay connected during this period of social distancing. If you have lost a job, have a family member or friend in need of prayers or assistance, or just want to visit with someone, please let us know.
We are so grateful for your spirit of generosity. Because you have been faithful supporters in the past, Harpeth Hills has been a debt free church for 12 years. This flexibility has allowed us to support local and global mission efforts in a significant way for a long time. That financial flexibility has allowed us the peace of not facing some of the financial pressures other churches are dealing with during this economic uncertainty.
As the impact of the COVID-19 illness continues, we remain committed to being responsible to our members and our community by avoiding corporate worship gatherings until the appropriate time. The leadership of Harpeth Hills has every intention of honoring our financial support of all ministers, staff, missionaries, and local ministry efforts to the best of our ability. In order to do this, we need your ongoing financial support. If you normally contribute by check on Sundays, would you please consider giving online or mailing your check to the church office? You can give online.
Some of our members may be experiencing personal financial uncertainties as work hours are reduced, sales commissions slow, and retirement income decreases. These uncertainties may impact their ability to give as they would like to. If you are able to help a little more than normal, that would be appreciated as we navigate these next few months.
Thank you for your trust and your support. God is faithful and has blessed us beyond measure.
“For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever. So, we don’t look at the troubles we can see now, rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.” —2 Corinthians 4:17-18
Because we serve a powerful God,
Your Shepherds
