Reading for Today–March 25
Deuteronomy 4:1-39
Luke 6:39–7:10
Psalm 68:1-18
Proverbs 11:28
I almost laughed out loud at the Proverb for today. “Trust in your money and down you go! But the godly flourish like leaves in spring.” So appropriate.
But the verse that grabbed me today was the promise Moses makes in Deuteronomy 4:29. After warning the people of Israel about future disobedience and the dire consequences, he tells them, “But from there you will search again for the Lord your God. And if you search for him with all your heart and soul, you will find him.”
If you search for him, you will find him. That is a good word for anyone who has made a mess of things.
