Vicki and I were having a conversation not too long ago. We were talking about the Enneagram–the current rage–and how our numbers were similar and different. As we talked about how both of us were pretty stubborn, I said, “The difference is you think you are right, whereas I know I am right.”

We had a good laugh.

Pride, and the lack of self-awareness that it fosters, can get you in a lot of trouble. Smart people listen to others.
