The Logue family shares the story of David for our weekly Children’s Moment.

This week’s children’s moment will be based on the story of David the shepherd, showing how we can Love God By Trusting His Care. In advance of this week’s lesson, we have included a few extra resources.

• Coloring Sheet: I wonder if David was ever afraid when he was out with his sheep. When anything threatened the sheep, David was there to protect them.

• David the Shepherd Boy Word Search: Can you find these words related to sheep? Do you think you could take care of sheep?

• The Lord is My Shepherd Paper Plate Sheep: Use a small paper plate, cotton balls, and construction paper to make your own sheep or a flock of them!

• Help the Shepherd Find His Sheet Activity Maze: Search as hard as you can to help the shepherd find his sheep.

• Graham Cracker Sheep Snack: Cover a graham cracker with icing or yogurt and add marshmallows for a tasty treat. Don’t have graham crackers? Just make sheep with marshmallows.

• Be Like David: This week, be like David! Find a creative way for you to tell the Lord that you love Him and trust His care for you. David sang songs to God. What can you do? Talk it over with your parents. Try a new idea!
