We apologize for not posting an update yet. But we have had a great (and busy) week so far!
After arriving on Saturday morning, we spent the day getting to know the town of Dundee as well as some new friends here. It was a neat way to be introduced to our home for the week.
Sunday was a day full of fellowship and worshiping with the Dundee church family. We had a delicious potluck lunch and time of orientation to prepare for the week to come.
For Monday, Tuesday, and half of Wednesday, we spent time getting to know a bunch of pupils in a local high school. Our team spent about an hour and a half with each S3 class of 13-14 year old students, playing games and discussing the differences in American and Scottish culture and the perceptions of Christianity and faith.
It was so cool to watch as connections were made and stories were exchanged. It will be even cooler to watch as those connections blossom into other conversations and interactions as the week progresses.
We have had a few other opportunities to spend time with our hosts as well as the church family at large. On Monday, we were blessed to have dinner with our individual host families.
On Tuesday, we had a Scottish vs American football (soccer) match. Despite our best efforts, we lost to the Scots 5 to 4.
Continue praying for God to move through our team as we strive to display Him in all we say and do while we are here.
