Several have asked, “Are we doing Awaken this year?”

As many of you know, Awaken Nashville has organized a large city-wide fast in the month of February over the course of the last two years (2019 & 2020). This year the Awaken team will not be distributing city-wide prayer packets or leading large events during the month of February. Instead, they are encouraging each church to call their people to a time of prayer and fasting (some time in January or February) in a way that best speaks to what God is doing in the context of each local church.
Harpeth Hills spent the weeks of January in a season of intentional prayer and fasting but we obviously do not want to limit our regular practice of these crucial rhythms to a few designated weeks out of the year. There is great joy and personal formation that come from the regular and sustained practice of prayer and fasting.
